The creative Italian cuisine of the Anna Amalia restaurant is well-known throughout the region. It has been awarded a Michelin star, and was listed in the top 10 restaurants in Germany by Der Feinschmecker (a leading German gourmet magazine). It has also received 17 points by Gault et Millau. During the summer, you can dine outdoors on the idyllic terrace. Please note that the restaurant is closed on the evenings of Sunday and Monday. The cosy, traditional Elephantenkeller serves Thuringian specialities and draught beers. Wooden furniture and candlelight create a unique atmosphere in the cellar here, where Goethe himself once enjoyed a drink. Please note this restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. The stylish Elephant Bar offers a wonderful view of Weimar’s historic marketplace. Coffee and cakes are served in the afternoon, and later on you can enjoy after-dinner drinks and cocktails. The bar is open daily from 10:00 to 01:00.
