Guests arriving at Assisi Train Station should take the bus towards Piazza Matteotti Square and get off at C13 in front of the petrol station. Walk downhill for 30 metres and look for the Unicredit Bank on your left. Go through the small gate next to the bank and climb the steps up to the hotel.

Located just 30 metres from the entrance to Assisi's historic centre, Hotel Porta Nuova is just 200 metres from the Basilica di Santa Chiara. This early 20th-century villa has been completely renovated. The villa offers air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV and a minibar. Each one has a private bathroom with a hairdryer and shower. Some rooms have beautiful views of the Umbrian valley, others overlook the courtyard. Porta Nuova is a family-run property that provides free parking and excellent bus links into Assisi. San Rufino Cathedral is around 400 metres away, while you can reach the Church of St. Francis of Assisi in 25 minutes on foot. You will find a TV lounge and a veranda and terrace on the first floor. Outdoors there are plenty of benches and tables, and a chair swing. The continental breakfast is served buffet style and includes homemade cakes, cold cuts, croissants and lots more.
