Hotel information
The hostel reception is open 24-hours a day It is possible to buy stamps, public transport tickets and pick up free postcards.
There is a quiet and green courtyard with a hammock and various benches tucked away behind the hostel, where you can relax in comfort outside. In the garden you can also play table tennis.

The building that houses the hostel was formerly a Jewish girls’ boarding school, established in 1903.

Travel information
Pegasus Hostel is located in Friedrichshain, in central Berlin. Friedrichshain was formerly part of East Berlin.
The hostel is on Straße der Pariser Kommune 35. The closest underground stop (U-Bahn train) is Weberwiese (line U5) and the overground stop Ostbahnhof (S-Bahn train) is a 5-minute walk away.
From Ostbahnhof station to Pegasus Hostel:
Directly in front of the station Ostbahnhof you will find the street Straße der Pariser Kommune. Cross Franz-Mehring-Platz square and you will find the Pegasus Hostel on the left of the street in a bright yellow building.
By train:
From the main railway station, Hauptbahnhof, or from Zoologischer Garten train station, take the S-Bahn train (lines S7/S9/S5) to Ostbahnhof. Most inter-city trains also stop at Ostbahnhof.
From Schönefeld airport (SFX):
Take the train (either the RB14 or the RE7, 18 mins) or the S-Bahn train (line S9, 25 mins) from the airport train station to Ostbahnhof.
From Tegel airport (TXL):
Take the TXL Express Bus to Alexanderplatz and then take the underground line U5 to Weberwiese.
From the bus station (ZOB):
With the bus (M49) you will arrive at the train station Savignyplatz. From there you can take the “S-Bahn” (lines S7/S9/S5) to Ostbahnhof.
At night-time:
At weekends, the underground and overground trains run all through the night. During the week, the N5 night bus stops directly outside Weberwiese underground stop.
By car:
From the motorway follow the signs for “Zentrum Ost” (Alexanderplatz). From Alexanderplatz, follow the Karl-Marx-Allee and after approx. 1.5 km turn right into Straße der Pariser Kommune. After 50 metres you will find the Pegasus Hostel on the right-hand side (number 35).
