Area information

The hotel is very conveniently located near the Northern Bavarian Ski School. This offers 3 drag lifts, 2 of which are floodlit and one which has an artificial snow machine and marked cross-country ski runs. Within a 15-minute walk you can reach the chair lift to the Ochsenkopf (Ox’s head) mountain, the summer toboggan run and the heated open-air swimming pool. The hotel is also conveniently located for anyone travelling to the festivals in Bayreuth or Wunsiedel, or indeed making day-trips to Thuringia, Saxony or the Czech Republic.

Our hotel is beautifully located on a tranquil, sunny south-facing slope of Bischofsgrün, and enjoys a magnificent unspoilt view of the Ochsenkopf (Ox’s head) mountain and the Weissmaintal valley. You are served a hearty, traditional breakfast in our general recreational room which is tastefully decorated in a rustic style. Guests are free to use our large hotel terrace with a summer house and sun deck. When not going out to enjoy the nearby winter sports facilities, you can relax in our hotel jacuzzi, sauna and solarium.
