For the duration of your stay, you can use a special discounted travel ticket to popular destinations throughout the Rhine-Ruhr region, including the centre of Oberhausen, the Arena auf Schalke, Düsseldorf airport, the fair trade grounds of Essen and Düsseldorf, and the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. These tickets are available at reception.

Area information

Set in the middle of the Ruhrgebiet (Ruhr area), the historical town of Bochum holds many tourist attractions such as fascinating historical buildings and churches, as well as a pedestrian shopping area. 2 medieval castles survive along the northern bank of the Ruhr and are well worth a visit. For evening entertainment you can visit the theatre and enjoy the musical, Starlight Express, which has been running in the town since 1988.

- From the A40 motorway, take the Bochum-Zentrum exit and enter Hernerstraße - Continue to the centre of Bochum - After a few hundred metres, you will pass the mining museum (Bergbaumuseum) on the left-hand side - After the museum, at the crossroads, keep to the left and take the Nordring - You will find the hotel right in front of you, at the Hernerstraße/Nordring junction
