The hotel restaurant serves up traditional German cuisine, featuring fresh, seasonal specialities or delicious ice-cream. You can enjoy this tasty food in the cosy chimney lounge, in the conservatory, on the sun terrace in the shade of the garden restaurant beside a pond. The Hotel Fliegerheim offers a range of dining facilities where you can celebrate various family or business functions. The Fliegerzimmer (Flying Room) seats 14 guests, the conservatory 30 guests and the large banqueting hall a further 120 guests.

Area information

The area around Borkheide offers leisure pursuits to suit every taste. Younger guests are particularly fond of the forest swimming pool, as well as a range of water sports available in Werder and Caputh. Culture vultures will appreciate a day-trip to nearby Potsdam. You can enjoy the countryside in the Hoher Fläming nature park, and take long strolls through the forests and meadows.

Travel information

The Hotel Fliegerheim can be easily reached by car. Take the Beelitz (3) exit on the A9 motorway, and head towards Brück. After 2.7 km you come to the Borkheide road junction. Turn off to the right and drive through the centre as far as the station. You can get here by regional trains from Berlin, Potsdam or Dessau. Get off at the Borkheide stop. The local 647 bus service travels between Neuendorf bei Brück and Beelitz via Beelitz-Heilstätten. Get off the bus at Borkheide station.

This family-run traditional hotel is located in Borkheide in the province of Brandenburg, just to the west of Berlin and within easy reach of Potsdam. Enjoy the historical ambience in the Hotel Fliegerheim. This beautiful building was renovated according to its original design from around 1900. The Borkheide area is steeped in aviation history, and when known as Bork, it was the site of Germany’s first motorised flight in 1909. The building was used as a flying school throughout the 20th century. In recent times the building reopened as a hotel and restaurant. It was named ‘Fliegerheim’ (pilots’ quarters) to reflect its proud aviation tradition. Nowadays you can stay here and enjoy a rich breakfast buffet each morning, either in the conservatory restaurant or on the sun terrace. The Hotel Fliegerheim also features all modern comforts, including free wireless LAN.

Take a day-trip to Berlin, or visit the castles and gardens of Potsdam to explore the cultural heritage of the Prussians. Both Berlin and Potsdam are located around 30 km from Borkheide. These forested surroundings offer many leisure opportunities, such as hiking or cycling. There is a natural lake adjoining the hotel, where you can go bathing or relax in the shade on warm days.

Travel information

Coming by car: Take the Beelitz exit of the A9 motorway. Follow the road and then take turn right at the first junction, towards Borkheide. The hotel is located on the market square in Borkheide, and there are ample parking spaces. Coming by train: Take the RB11 regional train or the RE3 regional express train from the Berlin or Belzig directions. Get off at Borkheide station. You can arrange with the hotel to be picked up from the station. Coming by bus: Take bus numbers 541 or 647 and get off at the Schule/Marktplatz stop.
