Information om Shiga Park Hotel

Nestled high in the mountains of Nagano prefecture Shiga Takamagahara, the property stands right next to a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Guests can enjoy trekking from June to October, and the hotel is a great place to escape the summer heat during July and August. Red leaves of autumn offer scenic views in autumn, and winter sport activities are available between December to March. Guestrooms come with a bath towel and face towel, nightwear robes and a toothbrush. The property features a hot-spring bath, and open-air baths can be enjoyed from April throughout to November. Fresh seasonal produce are served in kaiseki course meals between spring and autumn, and buffet style meals are served in winter. Meals however are subject to change without notice. Trekking, bird watching, observing wild plants and red leaves are popular activities between spring and autumn. In winter, guests can enjoy skiing at a ski resort only a minutes’ walk away from the property. Rental gear, and ski lessons in English are available if reserved in advance. Snow Monkey Park is a 30-minute bus ride away. Yudanaka Onsen hot-springs, Obuse town and Zenko-ji temple are all destinations that can be visited within a day’s travel.
