Rychlý popis

Budova hotelu Red Lion byla postavena ve 13. století jako převorství řádu karmelitánů. Nachází se poblíž silnic M11 a A11 a vlakového nádraží Whittlesford Parkway. Majitelé při rekonstrukci uchovali původní historický charakter této památkově chráněné budovy a zároveň ji vybavili moderním zařízením. Krásné trámy hotelu, ručně vyřezané mnichy, jsou dnes stejně pevné jako před více než 800 lety. Součástí hotelu byla původně i Duxfordská kaple. Hotel Red Lion stojí necelých 10 km jižně od Cambridge a 13 km od města Saffron Walden. Z nádraží Whittlesford Parkway jezdí vlaky do Cambridge a Londýna.
