Scenes from The Sound of Music were filmed on site, and the Salzburg Festival was founded there. Leopoldskron Palace is privately owned and not generally accessible to the public. Guests enjoy free access to the palace, the Max Reinhardt Library, and the chapel. The rooms in the Meierhof Annex and the suites, which are all situated at the palace, feature satellite TV, a minibar, and a bathroom.
